Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I know if I (or my child) needs speech therapy?  If you’re unsure, give me a call! I’m happy to talk to you about your concerns, and give you an idea as to whether or not an evaluation would be warranted. Phone calls are free – and I love to help connect families to the great resources available in our community.

2. What age-span do you work with? I provide services to kids and young adults. My services are provided both individually and through groups.

3. What areas do you support? I support clients in the areas of articulation (speech sounds), language (vocabulary, grammar, organization), and social communication (social skills).

4. How much does speech language therapy cost…and what about insurance? I do not bill insurance. I am a licensed speech language pathologist; which means you can likely submit my receipt to your insurance company for some level of reimbursement (policies vary greatly, calling your insurance company can provide information specific to your policy). If you have questions regarding this process, you can also give me a call. I do bill Medicaid; if speech therapy is warranted, medicaid provides full coverage.

My rates are: $200/evaluation, $75/45-minute session (40 minutes direct therapy, 5 minutes discussing home practice plan)
